Cul-de-sacs of West Carrington

At six years old, when I first moved to Georgia I lived with my aunt. Her house is at least 25 years old in a wonderful neighborhood in Marietta with neighbors we have formed close bonds with over time. With all those years come many memories and many people who lived there over the years. My aunt always took in kicked-out-friends and family on extended visits. The house has an open-door policy and the door is almost never locked. Over the years this house has become a hub for those looking for acceptance and love. I’d like to explore what makes this neighborhood special and the relationships we form with our neighbors.

Little Five Points

Little Five Points is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Atlanta & I’d like to share with you why! Filled with restaurants, shops, and music venues, it’s not the most polished place in Atlanta, but it has so much character you’ll be wandering around for hours.  It has a hipster, grungy-vibe, and is beautifully decorated with graffiti art. My most recent memory was attending a concert at Aisle 5 where I felt so free & danced all concert long that one of the artists gave the setlist at the end!

Beltline

The beltline is a new addition to Atlanta and is meant to connect the city through a long bike/walkway. I have yet to explore the beltline. I would like to choose a section of the beltline and get discover their sense of place.
